Review: Creation to Christmas around The Jesse Tree

Next week is already October? Where did the summer go?! That means it’s time to put away the pool toys and break out the holiday decorations. With that in mind, we will try to focus on some holiday themed books to get you ready for the season.

Author and illustrator Pamela Nelson delivers with this one.

The tradition of the Jesse Tree has been around for ages, telling the story of the Bible from Creation to the birth of Jesus. With her book Creation to Christmas around The Jesse Tree, Pamela combines all of these wonderful stories into one easy to read book. Each page shares a new Bible story for each day leading up to Christmas. As the title suggests, it starts with Creation with Adam and Eve and brings you all the way to the birth of Jesus. Along with each Bible story, Pamela references scripture and has ornament suggestions for making an advent tree. The stories are short and sweet, making them an easy addition to any bedtime routine in the season. The pictures are a mix of real pictures and art that bring each story to life.

Pamela has called the heart of the Midwest home since birth. Her passion is to inspire families and bring them together through faith-based interactive storytelling and sharing. She is happily married and mother of 5 wonderful children (four of which are married with families of their own and a new addition to the family: an adopted teenage son from Ukraine) and 10 grandchildren. When she doesn’t have a paintbrush in hand or a book, you can find her either cooking a unique dish, spending time with her loved ones or traveling across the globe. and 10 grandchildren.
